After having learnt a little of Revit during my first year at University, I was eager to really see the limitations of the software and what my own capabilities with it were. This project was selected based on a personal challenge of attempting to draw out a building of significant complexity in comparison to the residential buildings I had drawn so far and something which I was familiar with to temper that complexity in to an achievable project.
Masjid Al Farouq has been a building I have regularly visited since I was a small child; as such, I know the ins and outs of the building as well as my own home. The complexity lay with the scale of the building as this was a completely different size to anything I'd previously worked on. Additionally, there were a number of elements which would inevitably pose a problem (Those being the detail elements of the Minarets and Dome).
At this stage, family creation was completely foreign to me, through a lot of trial and error, I managed to work it out and this was the result.
